   Self-hosted typefaces: Inter and Sora

   These were loaded from fonts.googleapis.com, which meant a preconnect pair,
   a render blocking stylesheet from a third party, and then the font files
   themselves from a fourth host. Three problems with that:

   Every visitor's IP address was disclosed to Google on every page view. That
   is the same objection that took flagcdn out of the country flags, and for a
   dating platform with European members it is a live legal question rather
   than a preference: German courts have already ruled that embedding Google
   Fonts this way is an unlawful transfer.

   It was also slow in the way that matters. The browser could not start
   fetching a font until it had resolved a second origin, downloaded a CSS file
   from it, and parsed that. Served from here, the fonts are on a connection
   the browser has already opened for the page.

   And it broke offline and behind restrictive networks, falling back to system
   fonts with no warning.

   These are the variable versions, so one file per subset covers every weight
   from 400 to 800 rather than one file per weight. The unicode-range on each
   face is what keeps that cheap: a reader of Latin script downloads the latin
   and latin-ext files and nothing else, so the Cyrillic, Greek and Vietnamese
   files below cost nothing unless they are needed.

   font-display: swap is inherited from the generated declarations. Text paints
   immediately in the fallback and swaps when the font arrives, so a slow font
   never leaves the page blank.

   Regenerate with tools/fetch-fonts.sh if a weight or subset is ever added.
