Reporting and Abuse
Last updated: October 5, 2026
If something on SugarMingle Extra is wrong, tell us. You do not need evidence and you do not need to be sure. We would far rather review a report that turns out to be nothing than miss one that was not.
1. How to report
- A profile: open it and use the report control in the top corner.
- A message or conversation: use the report control inside the conversation.
- A photo: report the profile and say which photo in the description.
- Anything else: write to us through the contact page.
Blocking is separate from reporting and takes effect immediately. Blocking stops all contact; reporting is what brings the account to our attention. You can do both, and doing both is usually right.
2. What to report
- Anyone you believe is under 18
- Requests for money, gift cards, cryptocurrency or bank details
- Threats, harassment, stalking or intimidation
- Unsolicited sexual images
- Threats to share intimate images, whether or not the images are real
- Hate speech or attacks based on who someone is
- Impersonation, stolen photographs, or a profile that is not the person it claims to be
- Anything suggesting trafficking, coercion, or someone acting against their will
- Behaviour that frightened you, even if it does not fit any category above
3. What happens next
- Reports are confidential. The person reported is never told who reported them.
- Reports involving minors, threats of violence, or sexual exploitation are prioritised above everything else.
- An account may be restricted while a report is reviewed. That is not a finding against anyone; it is how we avoid harm continuing during a review.
- Outcomes include no action, a warning, feature restrictions, suspension, or permanent removal, and where the law requires it, referral to the authorities.
- We will not usually be able to tell you the outcome for another person, because their account is their private information. This is not us ignoring you.
4. If you are in immediate danger
Contact your local emergency services first. We are not an emergency service. We cannot reach you, we cannot intervene physically, and we may not see your report for some time. Report to us afterwards, and we will preserve what we hold and cooperate with any lawful request from the authorities investigating.
5. Appeals
If we have acted against your account and you believe we were wrong, you can appeal through the contact page. Include your username and anything that would help us understand what happened. Appeals are reviewed by someone other than the person who made the original decision.
