Every feature below is described with its limits included. A feature list that only says what something does is half a description, and on a dating platform the missing half is usually the part that matters.

Discovery
Global Search
What it does: Lets you browse members without a geographic limit, or narrowed to countries you choose.
Why it is useful: Some people are genuinely open to meeting someone in another country. Most platforms make that awkward on purpose.
Who benefits: Anyone open to long-distance, anyone with ties to more than one country, anyone who travels regularly.
Availability: Free accounts have access to global browsing. Depth of filtering and volume are wider on Premium.
Limits: A wider search returns more profiles, not better ones. Distance still has to be crossed by real people with real schedules and real budgets.
Nearby Search
What it does: Shows members within a distance you set from your location.
Why it is useful: If you want to meet someone this month rather than plan around flights, this is the one to use.
Who benefits: Anyone looking to meet in person soon.
Availability: All accounts.
Limits: Distance is approximate. It is derived from a general location, not a precise position, and it is deliberately imprecise so that nobody can be pinpointed.
Country, Region and City Search
What it does: Narrows discovery to a country, to a region within it, or to a single city and its surroundings.
Why it is useful: "Somewhere in Brazil" and "São Paulo" are very different searches. So are "the UK" and "Manchester".
Who benefits: People relocating, people with a specific city in mind, people who want to understand one place properly rather than skim a continent.
Availability: All accounts, with more filter depth on Premium.
Limits: How many members appear in any given place varies, and will be thin in some. We do not publish member counts by city, because a number that flatters the platform and disappoints the user is worse than no number.
Advanced Filters
What it does: Narrows results by age, distance, languages, interests, lifestyle, education, occupation, relationship intention, verification status and recent activity.
Why it is useful: Reduces the volume you sort through by hand.
Who benefits: Anyone whose requirements are specific enough that browsing broadly wastes their time.
Availability: Basic filters on all accounts. The full set is a Premium feature.
Limits: Filters describe stated attributes. They do not measure chemistry, kindness, humour or honesty, and no filter ever will. Filtering hard enough to reduce results to almost nothing is a common mistake: the people you would have got on with are often just outside the boundary you drew.
Travel Discovery
What it does: Lets you look at a destination before you travel and indicate that you are visiting.
Why it is useful: Arranging a conversation before you arrive is more realistic than hoping to meet someone in the three days you are there.
Who benefits: Frequent travellers, people relocating, anyone planning a trip.
Availability: Premium feature. Availability may vary by country.
Limits: You must be honest that you are visiting. Presenting yourself as living somewhere you do not is misleading, and misleading people about your location is a violation of the Community Guidelines. Nobody is obliged to meet you because you are in town.
Connecting
Relationship Intentions
What it does: Lets each member state what they are looking for, and lets you filter by it.
Why it is useful: It is the single most effective way to avoid conversations that were never compatible. Two people wanting different things is not a failure of communication: it is a mismatch that could have been visible from the start.
Who benefits: Everyone, particularly anyone tired of discovering the mismatch six messages in.
Availability: All accounts can state an intention. Filtering by it is available across plans, with more granularity on Premium.
Limits: A stated intention is a statement, not a guarantee. People change their minds, and some people are not honest. Treat it as useful information, not as a contract.
Likes and Connections
What it does: You express interest in a profile. If it is returned, you are connected and can message.
Why it is useful: Mutual interest means nobody receives unsolicited messages, and every conversation begins from two decisions rather than one.
Who benefits: Everyone, particularly members who receive a high volume of unwanted contact on platforms without this requirement.
Availability: All accounts. Free accounts have a daily limit on how many likes they can send; Premium raises or removes it.
Limits: Interest not being returned is the normal case, not a signal about you. People join, go quiet, meet someone, or stop using the platform without deleting the profile.
Private Messaging
What it does: Conversation between connected members, visible only to the two of them.
Why it is useful: It is where you find out whether the profile and the person resemble each other.
Who benefits: Everyone.
Availability: All accounts, with a daily limit on free accounts. Premium raises or removes the limit.
Limits: Nobody owes you a reply. Messages are private between members, but "private" is not "unreviewable": messages reported for safety reasons are examined, which is what makes reporting work.
Saved Profiles
What it does: Keeps profiles you want to return to.
Why it is useful: Discovery moves quickly. Saving is how you avoid losing someone you meant to think about.
Who benefits: Anyone browsing widely.
Availability: All accounts. Premium allows a larger list.
Limits: Saving is private, and it is not contact. The other person is not notified, and it does not create a connection.
Trust and safety
Profile Verification
What it does: Confirms a specific check: email, phone, a photo taken live, or an identity document, and adds a badge showing which was completed.
Why it is useful: It raises the effort required to run a fake profile, and lets members filter toward accounts that have completed checks.
Who benefits: Everyone, particularly members using global search where you cannot rely on local context.
Availability: Optional for all accounts. Which levels are offered may vary by country, because identity checks are subject to local law.
Limits, and these matter: Verification confirms only the checks stated. It does not confirm intentions, honesty, character, relationship status, financial circumstances, or that someone is safe to meet. A verified profile can still belong to someone acting in bad faith, and scammers do complete verification. Never treat a badge as a reason to relax financial caution.
Privacy Controls
What it does: Governs who can see your profile, what it shows, and whether you appear in certain kinds of discovery.
Why it is useful: Not everyone wants to be publicly discoverable, and needing privacy is not the same as having something to hide.
Who benefits: Anyone with professional exposure, anyone in a small community, anyone who has been harassed before.
Availability: Core controls on all accounts. Some advanced options, including reduced-visibility browsing, are Premium.
Limits: Privacy controls govern the platform. They cannot prevent someone from taking a screenshot, and anything you send can be saved by the person you send it to.
Blocking, Unmatching and Reporting
What it does: Blocking prevents contact and visibility. Unmatching ends a connection. Reporting sends a profile or conversation for review.
Why it is useful: Being able to end an interaction instantly, without explanation and without confrontation, is fundamental.
Who benefits: Everyone.
Availability: Free, on every plan, for every member, permanently. Safety tools are not, and will not become, a paid feature.
Limits: Blocking is not notified to the blocked person. Reports are reviewed but outcomes are not always shared, because doing so could identify the reporter. If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services: the platform is not an emergency service.
Account Security
What it does: Password protection, email confirmation, and alerts for unusual account activity.
Why it is useful: A compromised dating account exposes private conversations and can be used to defraud your connections.
Who benefits: Everyone.
Availability: All accounts.
Limits: A unique password used nowhere else is the part only you can do. MingleExtra will never ask for your password by email or message: anyone who does is attempting to steal your account.
Visibility
Profile Boosts
What it does: Raises how often your profile appears in discovery for a limited period.
Why it is useful: More people see you during the boost window.
Who benefits: New members, members who have updated their profile, members in areas with many active users.
Availability: Purchased with credits, or included with some plans. Duration is set by the platform and may vary.
Limits: A boost affects how often you are shown. It does not affect whether anyone is interested, and we publish no percentage claims about results because any such figure would be invented. Results vary by location, time of day, how many members are active nearby and: mostly: by your profile.
Credits
What it does: A balance that pays for individual actions, separate from a subscription.
Why it is useful: It lets you pay for one thing occasionally rather than commit to a plan.
Who benefits: Members who want a boost now and then without subscribing.

Limits: Credits pay for platform actions only. They cannot be exchanged for money, transferred between members, or used to obtain anyone's contact details or attention. Expiry terms are stated on the Credits page.
Experience
Multilingual Experience
What it does: Interface languages, and the ability to filter by languages members speak.
Why it is useful: Global search is only useful if you can actually converse.
Who benefits: Multilingual members, and anyone searching outside their first language.

Limits: Filtering by language reflects what members state about themselves. Fluency varies, and a shared language on paper is not the same as an easy conversation.
What no feature does
No feature on MingleExtra: free or paid: creates interest, obliges a reply, arranges a meeting or produces a relationship.
Paid features change how many people can see you and how precisely you can look. Everything after that is two people deciding.
Any dating platform implying otherwise is selling something it cannot deliver.
