Support

Standfirst

Most questions are answered faster in the Help Center than by waiting for a reply, and a few things are not ours to fix at all.

This page says which is which.

Start here for the common things

Billing, plans, renewal and refunds. Payments and Billing FAQ, then Membership and Billing help.

Login, password, deletion and account security. Account Management FAQ, then Account Management help.

Profile, photos and why nothing is happening. Profile and Photos FAQ, then Your Photos Are Doing Most of the Work.

Verification, badges and failed checks. Verification FAQ, then the Verification Center.

Privacy, incognito and who can see you. Privacy and Data FAQ.

Credits and boosts. Credits and Boosts FAQ.

The Help Center holds 177 articles across 11 categories and goes into considerably more detail than the FAQ pages do.

Things that are not support questions

These are faster, and in some cases only possible, elsewhere.

You are in immediate danger. Contact your local emergency services. We are not an emergency service and cannot dispatch help.

You have sent money to someone. Contact your bank or payment provider immediately, before contacting us, because they are the only ones who can act on the payment and speed decides whether it can be stopped. Then report the account here and to your local police.

Someone used your card without permission. Your bank or card issuer first, then tell us so the account can be secured.

Someone is threatening to share private images. Report and block here, report to your local police, and do not pay. The full steps are on a dedicated page.

You want to report a member. Use the report function on their profile or in the conversation rather than contacting support. It reaches the right place with the context attached.

Contacting support

Use the Contact page. [SUPPORT CONTACT ROUTES AND ADDRESSES TO BE CONFIRMED AGAINST SYSTEM]

What to include, because it is what determines whether the first reply resolves it:

  • The email address on your account
  • What you were trying to do
  • What happened instead, in the words you would use to describe it to a friend
  • For payment questions: the date, the amount and any reference
  • Screenshots, where there is something to see

What not to include: your password, your card number, your CVV, your PIN or a one time code. We will never ask you for any of those, and a message asking for them did not come from us.

[SUPPORT RESPONSE TIMES TO BE CONFIRMED] No response time is published here. The previous version of this page said we aim to respond quickly, which is not a commitment anyone can hold us to and not information anyone can plan around.

What support cannot do

Tell you whether a specific member is genuine. We cannot vouch for individuals. Video call before meeting, and treat any request for money as your answer.

Tell you who reported you, or the detailed outcome of a report you made.

Recover money you have sent.

Make anyone reply to you, restore a conversation someone unmatched, or reinstate a deleted account.

Give legal, financial, medical or mental health advice. For legal questions consult a qualified local lawyer; for health, a qualified professional or a local support service.
